This summer, what could be better than a trip to a Disney theme park? With more and more communities adjusting and easing COVID-19 guidelines, there is a renewed sense of optimism with many positive signs going forward. In addition, we’re encouraged to see more families making travel plans, friends dining out more often, and more Americans returning to work. Disney theme parks are gradually bringing back more of our beloved park experiences.
Fireworks shows have been a Disney tradition since 1957, and this summer thousands of people will enjoy the dazzling displays at Disney theme parks once more. As part of the nation’s Independence Day celebrations, Disney parks will once again host their wildly popular nighttime fireworks spectaculars beginning in July!
Walt Disney World Resort in Florida begins nightly fireworks displays on July 1 at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT. Cinderella Castle will be transformed with lights, projections, and pyrotechnics in “Happily Ever After,” as moments from favorite Disney stories inspire you to grab hold of your dreams and turn them into reality. In addition, “EPCOT Forever” will offer a spectacle of fireworks, music, and lighting effects over World Showcase Lagoon, highlighting the park’s themes of innovation, exploration, imagination, and celebration.
Disneyland park in California welcomes back guests on July 4 with “Mickey’s Mix Magic,” a nightly show presented throughout the summer. Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, and the facade of “it’s a small world” will be transformed into dazzling, family fun dance party featuring fireworks to celebrate Mickey Mouse’s birthday.
For park entry, please remember that you will need your park entry ticket and your reservation. For important information, such as park attendance requirements, visit Disneyworld.com/update and Disneyland.com/update.
We couldn’t possibly get more exciting information to come across the wire since we will officially be moving next door to the magic on July 1st ourselves! Stay tuned for more as we plan on live streaming the fireworks over on the WDW Travels Youtube Channel as well!
