Earth day is almost upon us and Disney Parks and Resorts invites you, and your stomach, to celebrate in the most flavorful way.
Disney’s Planet Possible wants guests to make every day Earth Day by reducing environmental footprints and protecting wildlife and their habitats. Animal Kingdom does a great job at educating guests young and old about how important it is to care for our planet and our wildlife but what’s another great yet fun way to bring Earth Day awareness to guests? Food!
A chocolate boot plant-based cupcake, a Ladybug cupcake, a Honey Bee, and Flamingo Cupcake are all great ways to start a conversation with your little ones on the importance of animals and insects in nature. Not to mention tasty.
Several fun-themed adult beverages are available this year as well.
You will find this year’s Earth Day Treats at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Boardwalk Resort.
Animal Kingdom Park
I can’t think of a better place to celebrate Earth Day than Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park. Our first featured cupcake is the Flamingo Cupcake. This is not the first time this cupcake has flown into Animal Kingdom. It is a return fan favorite and for a good reason. This cupcake has a guava icing and strawberry cake with a strawberry fruit filling. An adorable pink white chocolate flamingo and crispy strawberry pearls are the crowning touches. You can find this little guy at Pizzafari and Flame Tree Barbecue quick service locations. You can order this cupcake through Mobile Order through April 28th.
Honey Bee Cupcake
This cupcake is all the buzz. This is one of my favorite. The orange cake and honey Bavarian filling are such a great combination. I just love the little bees on top and the chocolate honeycomb detail. You can order the Honey Bee Cupcake at Creature Comforts and Restaurantosaurus quick service locations through Mobile Order until April 28th.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Chocolate Boot Cupcake ( Plant-Based)
Available only on April 22nd at The Mara is this really cool Chocolate Boot Cupcake. This is a chocolate spiced cake with coconut ganache. This is a one-day-only deal and I am sure they will be gone fast so if you will be around Disney I suggest getting there earlier in the day.
Disney’s Boardwalk Inn
This lemon cupcake with buttercream icing is the quintessential spring cupcake. The lemon curd filling cuts the sweetness of the icing just perfectly. The white chocolate ladybug and daisy flower bring gardening to mind. You can Mobile Order this beautiful cupcake from the Boardwalk Bakery from April 18th through April 22nd.
Animal Kingdom Theme Park Beverages
Available at the Dawa Bar the Lions Fury has Jungle Juice, Red Stag Bourbon, Fireball Whisky, and a glow cube.
This non-alcoholic beverage is a mix of frozen lemonade and frozen blue raspberry with blue cotton candy on top. You can find this fun frozen treat at the Dino Diner.
Another kid-friendly non-alcoholic beverage. This drink has Sprite and Granny Smith apple syrup. Lime flavored sugar lines the rim. Gummy worms and a glow cube top off this treat. You can find the Loggerhead at Terra Treats through April 28th.
This kiwi flavored beverage has kiwi syrup, lime juice, sour mix, and tequila. It will pucker you up a bit. Mobile order it at the Satuli Canteen through April 28th.
If you are hunting down the elusive Yeti look no further than the Thirsty River Bar. Jack Daniels alongside strawberry syrup and lychee lemonade make for a nice springtime Earth Day beverage.
Aside from all the fun treats and beverages Animal Kingdom usually does a few special things on Earth day. I love how Disney always creates special treats to celebrate holidays and special events. What treat are you most excited to try?

These are affiliate links, so if you do decide to use any of them, I’ll earn a commission. But in all honesty, these are the exact items that I use and recommend to everyone, even my own family.
General Carry Items: These are probably some of the most important things that everyone should have with them at Disney World.
A Good Pair of Disney Sunglasses – (I use this cheap pair all the time)
Every Day Chapstick – (I always have this on me anyway)
Sunscreen – (This is my Every Day Carry Sunscreen Ladies)
Park Bag: I’ve seen lots of people go to Disney World and make the simple mistake of not coming prepared. You can pick up a nice Loungefly park bag like this one and save the day for your family.
A Good Pair Of Sandals: Ladies, there’s nothing like a good pair of sandals like these in the parks. That way when it rains and your feet get wet you aren’t stuck walking around in a wet pair of sneakers all day.
Portable Neck Fans: These are just the most amazing little invention that you NEED to have at least for the kiddos. They charge via USB and are highly recommended, especially if you are going in the summer heat. You can check them out over here on Amazon.
Planning Your Trip: I know that planning a trip can be a lot. If you want more help planning your next trip I 100% recommend using The Vacationeer as a travel agent. They go above and beyond for their clients and they are the only ones that I can say that I would trust to plan my family’s travel.
Moving Near Disney!?: Well, we did! And we could not have done it without the help of our Realtor Victor Nawrocki! Victor knows the area and all the little ins and outs that no one else will tell you. He’s not just here to sell you a house, he wants you to actually enjoy living here!
