Yes! There are several options for renewing your vows onboard a Disney Cruise Line.

Each location will have its own places where you can hold your ceremony as well as different costs and items available in the planning process.

How Much Does It Cost?

Here’s where it can get tricky. The cost will be determined by several variants. You will build your package based upon time of the year, day of the week, time of day, location, number of people attending and whether you want to add on a reception, accommodations after the ceremony, and so on. There are also several locations within Walt Disney World that have minimums in place no matter what you choose for your ceremony.

Event Minimums can range from $5,000 to $20,000 depending on location. Keep in mind having a ceremony at a smaller location like a resort versus having it in the middle on Main Street USA is definitely can make the dollar amount change quite a bit.

It is my understanding that there is a deposit required when booking, just like for vacations. It seems to be dependent on how much your event total is, I have however heard that it can be as low as $500 for a deposit.

What Packages Are Available?

While there are not any specific packages available it is basically an ala cart scenario. You have the choice to include as many or as few available options in your ceremony to fit your needs.

The available options for couples on top of the location for the ceremony are:

  • Photography
  • Videography
  • Special Portrait Sessions
  • Floral Bouquets
  • Floral for your wedding party
  • Floral Enhancements
  • Music
  • Themed Entertainment
  • Disney Characters!
  • Cinderella’s Coach
  • Horse Drawn Carriage
  • Motorcars

You can also add on accommodations for guests as well as Honeymoon packages for Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and Aulani.

  • Officiant
  • Hair and makeup services
  • Vow Renewal attire
  • Invitations

Is There a Cheaper Way To Renew Your Vows At Disney?

If all of this seems like it’s just way too much for a Vow Renewal I totally get it! I honestly didn’t know how much it was going to be until I started doing my research. If everything that I have talked about is just a bit outside of your price range there are always ways around it. If you are looking for something super simple I have a few ideas for you.

If you just want it to be the two of you or even a guest or two I would book a vacation like you would for any other trip. Pick out a special outfit and maybe get the Bride / Groom ears from a gift shop once you are there.

If you each write down either new vows, your original vows, or something special to say then you could quietly go to a favorite place in the parks or a favorite resort and recite them to each other. It would be nice if you had a friend or family member there to either take pictures or video but you wouldn’t have to.

Doing it that way there wouldn’t be any additional cost to your trip but you would have the memory that you did a simple Vow Renewal at Disney.

Conclusion

Whether or not you choose the most extravagant ceremony put on by Disney or do something simple yourselves it really has to come down to what is most important to the two of you.

People who had very small weddings may choose to go all out for a Vow Renewal while people who had bigger weddings may just want a more intimate Vow Renewal that just means something special to them.

If you are looking for help planning a trip or vow renewal and want to help and advice from a travel agent we 100% recommend The Vacationeer. They go above and beyond for all of their guests and are the only travel agency that we would trust with our Disney planning needs.
