You know that incredible smell that hits you the second you step onto Main Street? You can’t miss it. It smells like happiness and childhood memories. It’s the Main Street Confectionary and its first shop on the right-hand side as you walk onto Main Street U.S.A..
Boy does Disney know what they are doing when they are piping that scent right out onto the plaza. If you were not hungry before you are now! I have been to the parks many times since the newly remodeled Main Street Confectionary opened back in September but I hadn’t really popped in to look around until yesterday.
If you haven’t been back to the parks since then you probably haven’t seen the new look yet. If you have then you might wanna take a sneak peek at the current offerings. I had a lot of fun just looking around and thought you all might enjoy coming along with me. Now if I could only pipe that smell in through the keyboard!
Main Street Confectionary’s New Look
I was impressed with the new look. It had a somewhat vintage and nostalgic feel. From that seafoam green 1950s color to the display with the vintage candies, the whole place had a charming retro feel.
Of course, you gotta keep up with the current times and you can’t miss the selfie photo-op off to your left when you walk in.
Main Street Confectionary Has Goodies Galore
The displays were bright and colorful. There was literally every kind of confection you could imagine from the usual Mickey Rice Crispy Treats and Mickey Caramel Apples to more unique offerings. There were also a lot of 50th Anniversary themed treats available.
They even had a selection of teas and a very cute Alice in Wonderland Tea Cup mug. Check out our video below to check it out.
In the center of it all stood a large curved glass bakery case. Several cast members were on hand to keep the lines moving smoothly. I love checking out the latest offerings. You will often see treats themed to the holidays or current events.
More Convenient Check Outs and Better Flow
The new layout helps things to flow nicely with separate areas for browsing and checking out. No more pressure trying to decide on that perfect cupcake while everyone’s waiting to check out!
Watch Cast Members At Work
Working you way to the back you will notice a couple viewing areas where you can watch cast members hard at work decorating cupcakes, dipping cake pops, and more. I noticed a little girl watching avidly with excitement. I think this is such a fun idea.
Off to the side, there is a frozen drink section called the Glacier Kitchen. Here you can customize your frozen drink or order off the menu. I love the names of the drinks, particularly the Orange Brr’d one!
Mix & Match Candy Wall
No confectionary would be complete without a giant wall of candy. Here you can pick and choose your own special mix of favorite M&M’s.
If one thing really took me back to my childhood it was these displays of giant rainbow lollypops. I think almost every kid that visited Magic Kingdom came home with one of these back in the day. Did you?
Customize Your Popcorn
In the way back where the hats used to be, you can now find an area that customizes popcorn for you with all sorts of add-ins. The smell was incredible. There are lots of toppings available to choose from. To check this area and to see more of the Main Street Confectionary check out our Instagram link below!

These are affiliate links, so if you do decide to use any of them, I’ll earn a commission. But in all honesty, these are the exact items that I use and recommend to everyone, even my own family.
General Carry Items: These are probably some of the most important things that everyone should have with them at Disney World.
A Good Pair of Disney Sunglasses – (I use this cheap pair all the time)
Every Day Chapstick – (I always have this on me anyway)
Sunscreen – (This is my Every Day Carry Sunscreen Ladies)
Park Bag: I’ve seen lots of people go to Disney World and make the simple mistake of not coming prepared. You can pick up a nice Loungefly park bag like this one and save the day for your family.
A Good Pair Of Sandals: Ladies, there’s nothing like a good pair of sandals like these in the parks. That way when it rains and your feet get wet you aren’t stuck walking around in a wet pair of sneakers all day.
Portable Neck Fans: These are just the most amazing little invention that you NEED to have at least for the kiddos. They charge via USB and are highly recommended, especially if you are going in the summer heat. You can check them out over here on Amazon.
Planning Your Trip: I know that planning a trip can be a lot. If you want more help planning your next trip I 100% recommend using The Vacationeer as a travel agent. They go above and beyond for their clients and they are the only ones that I can say that I would trust to plan my family’s travel.
