If you want to record a video on a rollercoaster or other high-speed attraction, you should strap the GoPro to your wrist or your chest. - Camera Phones
It’s a relief that, thankfully, they did not prohibit cameras while you’re visiting Walt Disney World’s parks. As a result, you also have permission to bring along your phone camera.
This is because the majority of people carry their phones with them at all times. These tiny functioning devices can be found every 2.5 feet in the parks. As a result, you are welcome to bring your cell phone, together with the camera that comes with it, to any Walt Disney World Park!
- DSLR Cameras
Now, this is a reassurance for all the avid photographers out there who’ve been wanting to visit Disney World but were not completely sure of the camera policies.
It’s a no-brainer that we have our phone cameras with us at all times. But there’s just something cool about having a DSLR to take clear images. Those taking the pictures would love to come home and edit those perfect images for their friends and families to see.
Camera phones are great, even fantastic in some cases, but there’s just something magnificent about a DSLR shot that most camera phones cannot live up to. They just aren’t up to the task in those cases. So, rest assured, you can very well bring your DSLR to Disney World.
- GoPro Cameras
GoPro cameras are a fascinating invention. You’ll see them everywhere. Their small size makes it even better for them to be carried everywhere.
But you might wonder that, these days, almost everyone has a cell phone, which they can use to capture images and record videos. But why would you need to carry another device with you?
Now, this question can only be answered once you get a GoPro. As soon as you see your GoPro in action, you’ll understand why people are so stoked to buy them in the first place. And the next thing you know is that you’ll have them attached on your next ride on the rollercoaster.
It’s essentially the camera equivalent of the set-it-and-forget-it setup. When you strap it on, you’ll have a fantastic perspective on your park experiences.
You would even be able to strap the GoPro to your child with a harness for an even more unusual perspective. And not to mention that you’ll get to see and experience the world almost exactly as they do. I’m pretty sure that it’ll be like viewing things through the eyes of one of the Toy Story characters!
- Monopods And Tripods
Monopods and tripods with a maximum length of 6 feet are both permitted at Walt Disney World.Just make sure that the tripod or monopodcan fit into your backpack. And I would advise you to bring a tripod with you to Disney World. Especially if you plan to capture the amazing fireworks displays.
A slow shutter speed with less camera shake has the utmost potential to make or break these shots.
- Selfie Sticks
Not being able to bring selfie sticks to Disney World is heartbreaking for many. And the rule was put in place for several valid reasons. So don’t be misled and think that Disney World is trying to ruin your fun. There’s a substantial reason behind the ban.
Walt Disney World prohibited selfie sticks some years ago. And again, the decision was made rationally.
While selfie sticks are fantastic for getting everyone in the frame, they can be somewhat distracting. You could damage yourself or others if you don’t keep an eye on where you’re going while shooting with your group.
Apart from that, one of the worst areas for tourists to use selfie sticks is on Disney World rides. It’s obvious that you will have to keep your arms and feet inside moving vehicles.
Consider a selfie stick that extends beyond the confines of the ride. Even if it’s not your arm, it might tangle up with something else, and if you’re squeezing that selfie stick too tightly, you will get a serious wound.
Aside from self-injury, if your selfie stick goes flying, you risk injuring another visitor. Alternatively, you might end up damaging the ride as well!
But other than that, you’ll be fine if you stick to the camera rules at Disney World.
